Had to go to NZ for work. On the flight there, I decided to watch the Michael Jackson movie, This is it. I have always liked MJ’s music, especially Thriller, which remains one of the great pop records of all time. It was groundbreaking in its day. The movie is basically a documentary showing some scenes for his rehearsals for his London shows. The perfectionism and attention to detail of the man is evident. You have to respect that. I have a DVD of his concert in Bucharest. A fantastic spectacle. However, you can also see in the film some hints of fraility. As is now known, he was pushing himself far too hard and he is no more.

No doubt he is putting on a sell out gig in Elysium…

Vale and Rest in Peace…
